Changelog¶
This page lists the changes to OhPlayer that you can see and use, newest first.
30 September 2026¶
- Plan picked, card later. A plan you pick on the pricing page is saved. The sign-in page says, for example, "Pro plan saved. Try it free first — you’ll add a card when you publish." See Sign in, free preview and trial.
- Trial on Stripe's checkout. Publishing on the free preview opens one trial dialog: pick Pro or Lite, then add your card on Stripe's secure checkout page. The same dialog opens from any locked feature on the free preview. See Start your trial to publish.
- Simpler first upload. Onboarding shows two stages, Upload and Preparing playback, and a sample AI edit while you wait. Captions are added in the background. If a stage fails, it turns red with Try again and Pick another. See Quickstart.
- AI edit starts by itself. On the first visit to your onboarding video, the AI edit starts once captions are ready, in the look your goal picked. Only one helper shows at a time. See AI edit.
- Plan-ended banner. When a plan or trial ends, a banner shows on every page. Embeds keep playing for 3 days, then pause. New video shows a lock and opens Account → Plan & Billing. See When your plan ends.
- New video on phones and tablets. + opens the same New video dialog as on desktop, with every import source. See Import a video.
29 September 2026¶
- Account deletion. You can delete your account once your plan is cancelled. While a subscription is active, in a trial, past due or unpaid, deleting is blocked with "Cancel your plan in Manage billing before closing your account." A Manage billing link takes you to Account → Plan & Billing. Free preview, lapsed and cancelled accounts can delete right away. See Delete a video or account.
- CTA end time. A timed CTA now shows from its start time until its Hides time, and not including that moment. Leave Hides empty (it reads "end") and the CTA stays until the end of the video. The end-screen CTA still shows on the end screen. See Timed CTAs.
- Copy signing secret. Each webhook connection has a Copy signing secret button next to Edit. Copying does not change the secret. See Webhooks.
- Connection limit. Pro accounts can have 25 webhook and Zapier connections. At the limit, the add button is disabled and reads "You have 25 connections".
- Billing wording. AI credits are counted over the last 30 days. During a trial, the page says a card is required to start it and that you are not charged until it ends, and the billing button always reads Manage billing. When you run out, the message reads "You've used the AI credits in your plan. Credits you used more than 30 days ago free up again, or upgrade for more." See Credits explained.
27 September 2026¶
- Purchases card. Analytics shows a fifth card, Purchases, with orders and revenue per currency. See Analytics explained.
- Trial viewing cap. A trial includes 200 GB of viewing. A banner warns you as you get close and offers Start plan now. The free preview imports one video.
- Paused connections. Webhook and Zapier connections show Paused when your account is on Lite.
- New logo and upgrade dialog. The app shows the new OhPlayer logo. The upgrade dialog compares Lite and Pro side by side.
26 September 2026¶
- Integrations page. One page lists Postback URL, Ad pixel events, Zapier, Webhooks, Cursor, Claude Code and any MCP client. See Integrations overview.
- Track sales per video. One postback URL for your checkout. Stripe and Shopify are recognised automatically. See Track sales per video.
- Ad pixel events. Send play, watched % and lead events to the Meta Pixel, GA4 or Google Tag Manager on your page. See Ad pixel events.
- API and MCP cards. Create keys in Account → Developers and connect AI tools. See Connect an AI assistant.
- Pro features pause on Lite. Timed CTAs, lead forms, leads, sales tracking, webhooks and Zapier pause when you move to Lite. Nothing is deleted. You can still export your leads. Upgrade and they come back as they were.
- Storage and credits in the sidebar. The ring next to your name opens a card with your storage and AI credits left.
- AI edit. Change something works on an edit that is already made. When a render fails, OhPlayer says why. On-screen text avoids logos burned into the corners of your video.
- Dialogs. Every dialog uses the same layout, and Share and Replace are redesigned.
25 September 2026¶
- AI edit v2. The Check step shows a live preview in the player with cuts skipped and text and zooms drawn on top. You can switch items off, or click Change something.
- Bold pacing. Bold edits set their pace from the length of your video, with punch-ins between blocks.
- Faster renders. AI edits render faster.
- Publish. Publish is available for an accepted AI edit without a "Saving draft" flash.
- Embeds keep playing. If OhPlayer's API is down, embeds keep playing.
24 September 2026¶
- Faster start. Videos start in 360p and step up to higher quality as they play.
- Onboarding. The goal you pick chooses the AI look, and a sample shows what it does.
- Share. The Share dialog shows the embed first, with More options below.
- One cookie answer. Your answer on the cookie banner covers both ohplayer.com and the app.
23 September 2026¶
- Plans. Lite is $24 a month with 30 AI credits and Pro is $79 with 200. Playback has no bandwidth charges.
- Free preview and trial. You can start with a free preview. Publishing needs a trial, and a card is required to start it.
- Adaptive streaming. Every video is encoded in 1080p, 720p and 360p, and the player picks one to match the viewer's connection.
- AI edit looks. Choose Clean or Bold for an AI edit. A failed plan is refunded.
- Purchase tracking. Stripe and Shopify orders can be counted next to leads.
